By placing a second idler gear in the portal box, the load gets spread over twice as much surface area for more reliable torque transfer and the strongest gear set you can get. Two idler gears don’t do a thing if they’re not mated perfectly, though. Precision CNC grinding ensures ours do. Our gears are made from the industry’s toughest 9310 steel alloy. No Matter How You Ride, GDP Portals Are Built for It
Mud bogging is a whole different game with GDP’s RZR Trail S 900 Portals and a 30% gear reduction. With all that torque, you can plow through mud with massive tires easier than ever. If you prefer riding flat out, you’ll make great use of our 15% gear reduction. You still get plenty of torque, but it’s better suited for going fast on tires that aren’t as huge.
